Your Complete Guide to Discovering Local Businesses

Everything you need to get started and make the most of the platform

Welcome to Brasata!

Brasata is your premier business directory and services platform. Whether you're looking for the perfect restaurant, a reliable mechanic, or the best local deals, Brasata connects you with verified local businesses across the islands.

1. Getting Started

Creating Your Account

1. Click Sign Up in the top right corner.
2. Choose a sign-in provider shown for this deployment.
3. Complete sign-in with that provider. Brasata returns you to the app afterwards.
4. You're ready to explore!

Logging In

1. Click Sign In in the top right corner.
2. Choose the same configured provider you used before.
3. Complete any verification or recovery with that provider, then return to Brasata.

Brasata has no customer password, password-reset, resend-code, or local verification screen. Your provider handles verification and account recovery. Brasata Workforce administration is separate: staff use the dedicated admin route with their company-managed identity.

2. Finding Businesses

Using Search

The search bar at the top of every page helps you find exactly what you need:

1. Type a business name, service, or product
2. View live suggestions as you type
3. Click a suggestion or press Enter to search
4. Browse the results

Example searches: "Italian restaurant", "Car repair", "Hair salon"

Browsing by Category

1. Click Businesses in the navigation
2. Use the category filter on the left side
3. Browse 50+ categories including restaurants, automotive, beauty & wellness, and more!

Using Filters

Narrow down your search with:

• Category - Browse businesses by type
• Verified Only - Show only verified businesses
• Minimum Rating - Filter by star rating (1-5)
• Location - Find businesses near you

Map View vs List View

Toggle between two viewing modes:

• List View: See detailed business cards with descriptions and ratings
• Map View: Visual map showing business locations

3. Business Details & Reviews

Viewing Business Information

Click on any business to see:

• Photos gallery
• Description of what they offer
• Contact information (phone, email, website)
• Location with map
• Opening hours
• Rating and reviews
• Verification status

Writing a Review

Share your experience to help others:

1. Visit the business page
2. Click Write a Review
3. Select your star rating (1-5)
4. Write your review
5. Click Submit

Save businesses you love for easy access!

Adding to Favorites

1. Find a business you like
2. Click the heart icon on the business card
3. The heart turns red when saved

Viewing Your Favorites

1. Click Favorites in the navigation
2. Browse all your saved businesses

5. Deals & Promotions

Never miss a great deal from local businesses!

Browsing Deals

1. Click Deals in the navigation
2. Browse current promotions and discounts
3. Filter by category if needed

Each deal shows discount amount, original price, sale price, valid until date, and the offering business.

6. Events & Activities

Discover exciting events happening on the island!

Finding Events

1. Click Events in the navigation
2. Browse upcoming events
3. Filter and sort as needed

Registering for Events

1. Click on an event
2. Review the details
3. Click Register or RSVP

7. Booking Services

Schedule appointments with service businesses!

Making a Booking

1. Find a business that offers bookings
2. Click Book Now
3. Select the service you want
4. Choose your preferred date and time
5. Confirm your booking

Viewing Your Bookings

1. Click My Bookings in your profile menu
2. See all upcoming and past bookings
3. Cancel if needed (24 hours notice recommended)

8. Messages & Communication

Connect directly with businesses through Brasata!

Starting a Conversation

1. Visit a business page
2. Click Send Message
3. Type your message
4. Click Send

Viewing Messages

Click the Messages icon in the navigation to see your conversations.

9. Your Profile

Editing Profile Information

1. Click your profile picture or name
2. Select My Profile
3. Update your name, email, phone, location
4. Click Save

Profile Settings

Customize your notification preferences, privacy settings, and language. Your sign-in provider manages its own password and recovery settings.

1. Create an account - Unlock favorites, bookings, and messages
2. Keep your sign-in provider account current - It manages verification and recovery
3. Save favorites - Quick access to businesses you love
4. Check deals regularly - New promotions added often
5. Read reviews - Learn from others' experiences
6. Write reviews - Help the community and businesses improve
7. Use filters - Find exactly what you need faster
8. Try map view - Discover businesses near you visually
